It’s official.
Former J Street press secretary Amy Spitalnick, who runs the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, and has turned it into an anti-Israel pressure group, boasted of bringing together the Union for Reform Judaism (and other Reform groups), and the Rabbinical Assembly of Conservative Judaism along with Reconstructionist groups to stand up for campus Hamas supporters.
The letter claims that Jewish safety is tied “to the safety of others”, in this case the safety of those calling for the murder of Jews on college campuses, and warns that “escalating federal actions have used the guise of fighting antisemitism to justify stripping students of due process rights when they face arrest and/or deportation, as well as to threaten billions in academic research and education funding.”
The Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist movements then claim that they “reject any policies or actions that foment or take advantage of antisemitism” thereby adopting the leftist anti-Israel language which accuses Jews of ‘weaponizing’ antisemitism.
“We unequivocally condemn the exploitation of our community’s real concerns about antisemitism to undermine democratic norms and rights, including the rule of law, the right of due process, and/or the freedoms of speech, press, and peaceful protest,” they assert.
Every non-Orthodox movement’s rabbinates have now chosen to stand with the leftists and Islamists who assaulted Jewish students and faculty, and with university administrators who turned a blind eye to it, over the Jewish students and communities they targeted.
They have fatally discredited themselves, not just as religious movements, but as Jewish ones. They have made it clear that they will sell out Jews to antisemitic violence as long as it comes from their side.
This is the mark of Cain. There is no coming back from this. There is no defense for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, the Rabbinical Assembly, and Reform’s Central Conference of American Rabbis, which signed this letter standing with campus Hamas supporters like Mahmoud Khalil and Momoudo Taal.
Amy Spitalnick brags that the letters come from organizations “including three of the four denominations”.
Indeed. Three out of four denominations have betrayed American Jews. Only Orthodox Judaism and its organizations did not sign on to this betrayal.
There are Orthodox, and there are un-observant yet still Orthodox informed, like Bob Dylan (famously).

Harrison Ford is a Jew. So was Paul Newman on his father’s side. That makes him an authentic Jew as far as I say, and I do. Michael Bolton is also a Jew, so that’s a strike against the tribe. But Bob Dylan more than makes up for Bolton. Billy Joel is a Catholic Jew. He got a score of 10 on the “Jew or not a Jew” website even though his religious conversion is kind of weird.
And Charlton Heston played a Jew in the movies. That should give him honorable mention. Best Moses ever. Maybe better than the real one. (The real one had a few character issues.) A great Judah Ben Hur, too.
I admire Paul Newman enough to overlook his Buckley Derangement Syndrome.

Quisling, Benedict, Judas denominations? or malibu obama, xhiden, Rosenberg denominations? Waffen ss., Kapo, or swastika hakenkreuz denomination? There are certainly a lot of names they can pick to separate themselves further from actual Jews and give a little warning while they insult everyone’s intelligence with their thinly veiled call to self-gas.
Grew up in Reform. Saw it becoming completely politicised and have had nothing to do with it now for decades. The idea that Jewish safety is dependent on Jews protecting “the safety of others” dedicated to their destruction is ludicrous. What a long way from “[I]f someone comes to kill you, get up early in the morning to kill him first.” (Berakhot 58a; Yoma 85b; Sanhedrin 72a).
Do you remember the song “Mr. Businessman”? It was a good song, but a bit simplistic in its outlook.
The Reform Cult ‘Rabbi’ of the Temple my family attended once quoted almost all of that lyric for the high holy day homily. I kid you not.

Thanks for your comment. I grew up without religious education but with .relatives speaking Yiddish, and around many Holocaust survivors. As a young adult I tried reform and didn’t like it. There were too many anti Israel views there against and I was also disturbed by aspects of women’s roles.
Modern orthodox has suited me fairly well more recently.
But I have to emphasize that many, many American Jews are not leftists but were assimilated to the point of not easily fitting in. We are never mentioned in media proclamations of how Jews vote. We are ignored by some on the right who wrongly blame all Jews as being leftists. We exist and, I believe, exist in substantial numbers. I have extended family and friends who are like me. But we have no “voice” that really represents us.
The three named turncoat movements either devolved into socialism with a thin veneer of religious terminology.. Their remaining members with a scintilla of self-respect as Jews should abandon ship and try Judaism Classic.

The first word of the Hebrew Torah is ‘b’raysheet’, superficially translated as ‘in the beginning’. One rearrangement of the letters of the word (there can be several) spells the word ‘b’she’ayreet’, meaning ‘in the remnant’, that is, what remains of the followers of the faith. A small group indeed. Small but eternal. Never to be replaced. Obviously, over the past four thousand years, literally millions of Jews have chosen (not including the millions with no choice, and slaughtered) not to hold onto their faith and identity, either by ignorance or bitter spirit, rejecting their moral purpose and sloughing themselves off those moral disciplines and commandments of the faith; because it’s just too hard, or an impediment or intrusively inconvenient, or just plain irrelevant, uninteresting and unimportant to keep a sacred covenant with the One God.
While feeling themselves superior in adopting the ways of men, their betrayals of our people are clear to the G-d of Israel. They have viciously betrayed the covenant of our people and chosen standing with the most violent, psychopathic group, Hamas and given sanctuary to the most egregiously, violent disregard for the lives of those maliciously murdered, raped, mutilated, beheaded and babies burned alive.
None of these signatory groups can in any way claim themselves as part of the Jewish people whose allegience is to G-d Almighty, our Torah and an everlasting covenant.
Where once I felt genuine sadness and hoped for them becoming realigned with G-d and our people, now it seems their consciences have been completely seared in deception and darkness and according to the laws of G-d, they will reap what they have sown.
May G-d Almighty protect our Jewish people from their darkness and may even one of them wholeheartedly repent before G-d making Teshuvah and return home!
From way back the 1800’s in Germany comes Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch’s classic takedown of progressive religion, “Religion Allied to Progress.” An excerpt (find the entire essay on line):

We Messianic Jews are not appendages of Christianity, as thought by some on both sides, but spiritual descendants of the original believers in the Messianic mission of Yeshua (Jesus) , a Jewish historical figure whose adherents numbered close to a half million in the 1st century AD before they were virtually wiped out in the Roman Holocaust of 130 AD. We are Toynbee’s “fossils of history” reconstituted to life, and come to reclaim patrimony over the Messianic promise and the twice (Old and New) covenants between Ha-shem (God) and his followers. As both Messianic Gentiles and Jews, we are, accordingly, fore square advocates for Israel, Jews and all those who love God.
We Jewish Messianics are not appendages of Christianity but a recreation of the religious faith of those estimated 1/2 million Jews who believed Yeshua (Jesus) was the promised Messiah in the 1st century. As such we are fore square advocates for Israel, Jews everywhere (embattled then and now) and for the God of the Bible–both books of which have Jewish patrimony. (Later rabbis were understandably alienated by anti-Semitic Christianity, but newer historical scholarship reconfirms the Jewish root to which all who love the One and only God of Israel and Yeshua the Messiah, his gift to the world.
