Freedom Center Investigates has lately been covering abuses at the Voice of America including attacking the Front Page Magazine,as ‘Islamophobic’, running Taliban attacks on Trump and employing an Afghan ex-Jihadist who had fought in a Jihadist group under Osama bin Laden’s mentor to attack Trump.
Now the end is near.
After our reporting, all employees at the VOA have been placed on administrative leave and many of the affairs of the Agency of Global Affairs Media are being wound down. I have mixed feelings about this. There was a time when we broadcast a true voice of freedom, but increasingly we are funding media outlets that, like most media outlets, are hostile to America and the cause of freedom. I’ve heard terrible things about the Persian language VOA being infiltrated by Iran regime supporters. And the VOA’s decision to push anti-Trump propaganda on Americans was a profound violation of its charter and mission.
I believe America should have a ‘voice’ to represent our message abroad, but the current system that was set up during the Cold War may no longer be salvageable. Anything infected by the media is simply a dead end.
Our investigation of USAID and VOA showed how bad the rot was.
USAID provided funding to set up a Mujahadeen propaganda network known as the Afghan Media Resource Center. The terror media network, which reportedly required all personnel to “sacrifice for holy jihad”, operated under the auspices of the United States Information Agency (USIA): the parent organization of Voice of America.
One of the points I made in my reporting on VOA’s growing extremism was that Democrats had repeatedly pushed it to report critically on the United States.
President John F. Kennedy had told Voice of America staffers that their mission was to “paint us ‘with all our blemishes and warts,’ all those things about us that may not be immediately attractive.” Taxpayers should not be paying to have an arm of the government telling the rest of the world that America is a terrible place. And certainly not sending that message to Americans.

Once such organizations get infiltrated by leftists and Muslims, there is no countervailing force, so the organizations are best eliminated.
I believe he appointed Kari Lake to head VOA. I wonder if he will find another role for her.

VOA came to my attention when the great Kari Lake who had the 2022 Arizona election stolen from her by the same machine that installed Joe Biden – in Arizona they installed Kati Hoggs a twice convicted racist – then all the cabinet posts, President Trump appointed Kari to VOA – Kari has a vast journalist career as a news anchor in Phoenix

We are in the internet era – I trust most people in the world are on it – the ones who aren’t probably don’t get VOA anyway – but how would they know different without RFA or VOA?

Government should stop funding National Public Radio with our tax dollars. Not only does it have a conspicuous leftist bias, but also often provides tons of classical music. Let those who like classical music pay for it with their own money.

The top story on VOA on Saturday, the day President Trump signed the Executive Order to abolish it, was about how British Prime Minister Keir Starmer participated from London in a virtual meeting with what he described as “a coalition of the willing,” which was Deadbeat Zellenskyy and a “group” of European, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian leaders – but not America’s leader. Some Voice of “America.”
Putin wasn’t there either. Naturally. Why would Starmer try and talk to the leader of Russia about a proposed cease-fire between Russia and the Ukraine when he can just share farts with the Oompa Loompa and a bunch of bankers who want America to pay the Ukraine’s bills? Maybe VOA wanted to go out as the Voice of the Commonwealth?
Of course, the Minitrue Media are wailing, spitting and spinning about VOA’s long overdue execution. And of course, America doesn’t give a shit what those trolls have to say about VOA or anything else.
We voted for Trump and the anti American Dirtbagocrats voted for their own suicide. They need to get used to the new world order.
Great news Freedom Center. The quicker they are eliminated, along with DOGE additions, the better for America.
Now that the Soviet Union no longer exists is there any reason to keep funding outfits like VOA, USAID and Radio Free America that have been co-opted by the usual leftist frauds.
Especially when one entire political party has been co-opted by the left. Now, get to work defunding NPR and PBS. Then go after the UN.

Sen. McCarthy uncovered a lot of this infiltration, not just in the Voice of America, but throughout the federal government. That’s why they so thoroughly hated him and why he is constantly portrayed as a monster, when in fact he was a great American patriot.

It was inevitable taking into account that VOA never represented the USA nor its interest. I listened to shortwave radio from the 1960s until its demise in the 21st Century. I remember one of many incidents in the Dominican Republic [early 1980s] in which VOA was transmitted but many listeners did not hear VOA.
Instead, they heard WRNO [New Orleans] which was a shortwave station of a local station. The same applied to many local stations in Florida, Georgia which could be heard in the Dominican Republic even though they were FM instead of AM. The programs which featured Budweiser Commercials, Wendys, Pizza Hut, Radio Shack or even Sears. This represented America more than VOA to listeners in the Dominican Republic who wanted the real thing.
Radio Marti [another arm of VOA] may have had good intentions but there are many stations transmitting into Cuba that Radio Marti is no longer needed in an era in which programming is instant and direct.
