Speaking of ‘anger’, it’s odd how the media is always going on about “white rage” … Didn’t any of them see Antifa in action on university campuses, or the Black Lives Matter riots … ? ( … oops, sorry, I mean “summer-of-love-peaceful-protests” … ???)
Daniel makes a point that I’ve been making elsewhere. As in everything else, the left applies different standards to anger: the left’s anger is always righteous, noble, and justified; the right’s anger is dangerous, spooky, fascist, and unjustified. We saw that attitude reflected in the MSM’s coverage of Biden and Trump. When a red-faced Biden delivered angry speeches with clenched fists, spewing spittle, and raging at his opponents, the MSM said it showed he still had that “fire in the belly,” even that he was preaching “that old-time religion”! His anger was proof of his energy and vitality!
But when Trump is angry, it is “Hitlerian,” dark, fascist, dangerous, and a threat to “democracy”. Lately, since Biden dropped out, they have added that it is a sign of cognitive decline!
