There was a time when Superman fought for Truth, Justice and the American Way. That went by the wayside to be replaced with various alternative slogans, the latest being “and a better tomorrow”.
Patriotism has been stripped out of the Marvel and DC crowd, but there is the awkward problem of Captain America. The usual way of handling that was to have the captain take on some radical leftist position, like fight the Tea Party or preach socialism, but as the woke wave rolled in, Marvel began replacing classic characters with minority versions of them leading to terrible comic book sales and a declining box office.
The latest woke effort was replacing Captain America with a guy who doesn’t like the ‘America’ part of it.

“For me Captain America represents a lot of different things and I don’t think the term ‘America’ should be one of those representations,” Anthony Mackie, a skinny 5’10 middle aged guy who’s making $10 million to play a character he’s unqualified to play in every possible sense of the word, complained.
After the backlash, Mackie’s account shared the risible claim, “let me be clear about this, I’m a proud American and taking on the shield of a hero like CAP is the honor of a lifetime.”
A statement that starts with ‘let me be clear’ usually translates to ‘let me lie about my actual views’. And this time is no different. Worse still, it reads like a press release.
Mackie made his feelings clear already, but why bother, he’s not playing Captain America, he’s playing Captain Woke. Just change the iconic colors to blue, pink and brown, and then have him retreat to a safe space after every fight.

Always leave it for these Directors and writers in Hollywood today to make more leftists propaganda look how they messed up other classic movies by placing a Minority Actor in place of the origional and we have just another reasons to totally Boycott them
Where do I go to bet against this movie being a box office hit, although it will probably be nominated for an Academy Award, even if it doesn’t make enough money to pay the the lead actor.
Why bother? Who gives a rip about some big budget over-hyped Hollyweird garbage? Perhaps I might bother to watch it years from now when it’s free via the internet but not before then.
In my opinion, Stargate was the last and best sci-fi movie based on a unique and novel idea that I’ve seen in decades. So-called super heroes should stay in the comic books where they belong.
It’ll probably do well even though it’s woke. I’ve seen coming attractions and the action scenes are pretty good although those are doubtlessly the only good parts of the movie. Marvel movies are popular and it hasn’t released many lately. “Marvels” and “The Eternals” were well deserved flops so Disney thinks it can fool Americans with a main character with a patriotic name, and probably will.
When Marvel comics first forced the Falcon as a fake Captain America on its readers, his main enemy was a law enforcement force comprised of “white supremacists” contracted by NYC, who went around beating and murdering blacks and poor people. They were the most racist and ridiculous comics imaginable. The real Cap was an evil agent of Hydra. Fake Cap beat up the John Walker Super Patriot character who’s actually tougher than the real Cap. I leafed through the issues at a library but I was too disgusted to read them.
Marvel took a big hit in sales in an industry that was already moribund so it came up with some comic book twists to bring the real Cap back although it refused to back down on the “white supremacist” nonsense.
Marvel comics is all but finished and Marvel studios can’t rely on its popularity forever. America is as sick and tired of “woke” as we are with trannies.
