Like a lot of campus staff meetings, the DNC 2024 platform begins with a “land acknowledgement” which is to say a rejection of the existence of the United States.
Land acknowledgements were pioneered by ‘decolonization’ activists as a gradual process for normalizing the destruction of the United States.
A land acknowledgement asserts that a particular part of the United States is really Indian territory and that its existence is illegitimate.
And, in a major sea change, the DNC 2024 platform begins with a land acknowledgement rejecting the American presence in Chicago.
The Democratic National Committee wishes to acknowledge that we gather together to state our values on lands that have been stewarded through many centuries by the ancestors and descendants of Tribal Nations who have been here since time immemorial. We honor the communities native to this continent, and recognize that our country was built on Indigenous homelands. We pay our respects to the millions of Indigenous people throughout history who have protected our lands, waters, and animals.
First of all this is sad ahistorical nonsense.
Indians migrated to this land the way that people did everywhere else. The Indians crossed the Bering Strait to come here just like the Europeans crossed the Atlantic ocean to do so. They did not “protect” the lands, waters and animals, they hunted, fished, sometimes to extinction entire groups of animals and fish, within their capacity. They were not some sort of magical noble savages, but people like us.
But the real core is the DNC’s assertion that ” our country was built on Indigenous homelands”.
This is the equivalent of the 1619 Project. It asserts that America was illegitimately built and must therefore be eventually dismantled.
Rather than American exceptionalism, this is American deconstructionism. It’s a call for nothing less than the destruction of America.
America was built on its discovery by Christopher Columbus in 1492.
And then the Pilgrims and Puritans from England,
And then the extensive diverse European immigration into America..
The Revolutionary War and Independence from the British Empire, and the Founders of the USA and the creation of its Constitution and its Freedom and Liberties really built America.
For the most part, the native Indians were uncivilized primitives … barbarians for the thousands of years before the Europeans came.
Anybody want to dispute these True facts ?
You conveniently left out the Spaniards Who at one time controlled almost half of what is now the United States. There are many Spanish founded towns that have been inhabited since the late 1500s.
Any lefty who feels guilty about living on land “stolen” from the Indians is free to leave. However, they will have difficulty finding any country that has escaped the innumerable conquests and wars – large and small – that have characterized human history worldwide. The current population of the world is probably 98% composed of people who are not living where their ancestors lived 3,000 – 5,000 years ago.
Note the Israel is the historic homeland of the Jews for 3000 years. That is the one instance where most of the world is cheering for the colonizers (the Arabs) who invaded 1400 years ago.
Most Americans are not living where their ancestors lived 300 years ago. But we live here now, and have contributed to building something magnificent here. I guess that’s just more plunder for those who would loot America of its greatness.

Why do people who hate this nation so much spend time and money to get elected and/or appointed to positions in its government?
So they can oversee the joyous, and nihilistic, destruction of our culture and system of government. Then they can have the rush of creating paradise here on earth, along with vast new mass gravesites.
A better response to the woke lie would be that most Indians were nomads and had no conception of Private land. Therefore, they didn’t own it.

Unsurprising, since many Democrats and their RINO allies are calling for this country to become a mere province in a collectivist “New World Order.”
They are trying to destroy history and wipe out the real knowledge of America and how we were founded.
