The Kamala campaign isn’t in a good place and the leftists pushing it to further extremes aren’t helping.
Trump Executed Their Loved Ones. They Fear He’ll Have The Chance To Kill Others – Huffington Post
Trump executed their loved ones? Oh no! Why would he do a horrible thing like that?
Christopher Vialva’s dying request before the federal government executed him in 2020 was that his mother help other family members of the condemned navigate the process. Before he died, Vialva gave his mom’s contact information to another man on death row, who helped put her in touch with the loved ones of people who received execution dates.
“I wanted to brief them on how the process went down and what to expect, down to the details as far as the physical signs of their loved ones dying. When they’re showing signs of asphyxiation,” said Vialva’s mother, Lisa Brown, noting evidence that the lethal injection drugs can cause the lungs to fill with fluid, creating the sensation of suffocating or drowning to death. “It’s like being waterboarded,” Brown said.
Vialva was one of 13 people Donald Trump’s administration executed during the final six months of his presidency. The killing spree ended a 17-year de facto moratorium on federal executions and left behind dozens of grieving family members, struggling to make sense of the government’s seemingly arbitrary decision to select their loved ones for execution among the dozens of people on death row.
“It mortifies me,” said Brown, who has stayed in touch with family members of those who have been executed, as well as people who remain on death row. “The fact that I know there’s going to be more families going through what I went through.”
Why was Christopher executed?
On the afternoon of June 21, 1999, in Fort Hood, Texas, 19-year-old Christopher Vialva, accompanied by four other youths aged between 16 and 18, murdered two youth pastors from Iowa, 26-year-old Todd Bagley and 28-year-old Stacie Bagley.
After the triad stopped on the roadside at the Belton Lake recreation area, Vialva directed his four henchmen to splash the interior of the car with lighter fluid, while the Bagleys continued to plead for mercy as they sang “Jesus Loves Us”. Vialva then shot both Todd and Stacie in the head with a handgun. After completing the deed, one of Vialva’s accomplices, 18-year-old Brandon Bernard, set fire to the car, burning the bodies of the victims and the car before the gang fled the scene
I’m not too sure that bringing out the “loved ones” of monsters is really the argument this campaign needs.
After Biden was elected, Brown participated in a video call organized by Death Penalty Action, an abolitionist group, with Department of Justice lawyers. “I chose to take them, step by step, through the day of my son’s murder,” Brown said. “That left them unable to ask any further questions because they were too tore up from what I had said.”
Brown has also kept in touch with several men on federal death row, who have anxiously observed the Biden administration’s inaction on the death penalty. “I don’t think disappointed is a strong enough word,” she said. “Just imagine, every four years you have to worry about whether the next guy coming in is going to kill you.”
Or lock you in a trunk, pour lighter fluid on you and set you on fire.
Once again, an execution is NOT a penalty. It’s a solution. A solution that is unsatisfactory to some but one thing can be said for it. The perpetrator will not harm another human being.
It is penalty, deterrent and partial solution. Partial because human nature does not change, but can be deterred through punishment (penalty).
Too bad Vialva wasn’t strapped to the table, doused with lighter fluid, shot in the face, lit, and sent home to his momma the way he sent his victims home to theirs. Vialva obviously didn’t think it was a cruel or unusual way to go.
I think the murderer should set the standard for cruel and unusual punishment in their own execution, by the way they kill their victims. I don’t care if an elaborate machine has to be constructed to make it happen the same.
They were Christian Youth pastors, no wonder PuffHo and msn ignored them, and lamented the execution of two of their murderers. Disgusting.
There is an undeniable and righteous lex taliones in your justice. My imagination becomes, in dealing with convicted pedophiles, very cruel and inventive in ways of which I am not proud.
But vengeance belongs to the LORD, and is perfect and most likely infinite. People react to that thought in different ways, depending upon experiences, imagination and beliefs about God. The passage of time increases my terror of the justice of God, and so I do not chafe so much with our gentler executions.
We live in interesting times: When murdering the innocent becomes legal and/or excusable, and executing murderers becomes murder.
” Executed Their Loved Ones. They Fear He’ll Have The Chance To Kill Others – Huffington Post”
Huff Po’s headline inverts reality and gaslights Trump and the victims of crime.
“Ah, you who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”
New Revised Standard Version Isaiah 5:20
“Trump Executed Their Loved Ones. They Fear He’ll Have The Chance To Kill Others”
“Others”? As in convicted death row murderers who are on death row precisely because they brutally murdered the loved ones of “others”? Wait a minute, I know a Babylon Bee article when I see one.
21 years to do the obvious eradication. That is the only problem I see here.
Being they dared sing Jesus loves us it means they were likely Republican voters. So- in the twisted minds of the left it was not big deal they were murdered. Whereas the killers were likely Democrat voters and all mercy should be given.
“Hell is empty and all the devils are here.” — William Shakespeare
Vialva’s mother should be shown enlarged, detailed photographs of her son’s handy work. But, I fear she is so soulless it wouldn’t make a difference to her.
