The obnoxious pop culture phenomenon and beached land mammal known as Lizzo lives in one of those $15-24 million modernist boxes in Beverly Hills that look like Apple stores but on top of a hill.
If there’s a landslide or a sizable digestive event, the mansion with Lizzo in it will go downhill. Fast.
The one place the mansion is, is Beverly Hills. The one place it isn’t… Detroit.
Nevertheless, Lizzo appeared at a Kamala event and pretended to have no clue why anyone would think Detroit is a terrible place to live.
“I’m so proud to be from this city,” Lizzo, a Detroit native, told the crowd.
“You know, they say if Kamala Harris wins, then the whole country will be like Detroit, okay? Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit,” she continued. “We’re talking about the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry, so put some respect on Detroit’s name, okay!”
The remarks were made after Trump compared the city to a “developing nation” during a campaign event last Thursday at the Detroit Economic Club.
“Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president. You’re going to have a mess on your hands,” Trump said on Oct. 10 about Harris.
Detroit lost 60% of its population since 1950. A lot of the lights don’t work because of copper thieves. When Hollywood wants to shoot a movie about a failed city, it goes to Detroit (or Chicago).
There were over 250 murders in 2023. Its cultural landmark is a giant Robocop statue.
More to the point, Lizzo doesn’t live in Detroit and wouldn’t want to live there. Neither would Kamala. Both rich women are exploiting Detroit while living in pricey and exclusive LA neighborhoods.
They don’t want to live in Detroit. And people in Detroit don’t want to live in Detroit. Whom do Kamala and Lizzo really think they’re fooling? No one in Detroit.

unfortunately half of america wants the country to look like detroit . the fact that much of america already is or will be within the next ten years obviously doesnt concern harris voters and the MSM is an indictment on the country as a whole . the american founders were correct , america will destroy itself .

Actually a better description of the future (sooner than you think) of Detroit would be portrayed in that dystopian movie Mad Max. It was quite the shocker displaying how things turn out when the police don’t come anymore……because there are none anymore….. Detroit in the very near future and maybe coming to a town near you.

I grew up in Detroit. It was a great place to grow up in. Loved it and still love the area. But then came the ’67 riots and it has been mostly downhill ever since. It goes through these cycles where an area in it becomes gentrified and there’s some development and everyone says “Detroit is back.” Then there are some high profile murders and people move out and go to the next hip location. Rinse and repeat. If she wants the rest of the country to be like Detroit, pray.
