It’s only fair.
Obama and his aides ousted Biden. The Obama team gets custody of the campaign. And its VP. The new one anyway.
In the triumph of democracy that involved ousting a candidate that 14 million Democrats actually voted for, because donors stopped giving him money, donors began financing the vetting of potential veeps even before he was told to step down or eat pillow.
Major Democratic donors are funding a preliminary vetting process for potential vice-presidential nominees should President Biden exit the race, according to four people familiar with the process, suggesting that influential figures in the party are growing increasingly restless and concerned about the time remaining to mount a national campaign.
In recent days, people involved in the effort have contacted the teams of top Democratic figures, including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive effort. The donors are also interested in vetting North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly.
And, lo and behold, who is Kamala vetting?
Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign has requested vetting materials from seven Democrats under consideration to be her vice presidential running-mate, USA TODAY has learned from a source familiar with the process.
Those being vetted for the job include North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
The Harris campaign has also requested vetting materials from one Democrat whose name has received much less attention as a vice-presidential contender: Cedric Richmond, a former congressman from Louisiana who served as a top aide in the Biden White House and on his campaign.
What a coincidence. There’s a bunch of overlap between those names. Isn’t democracy great?
(The media could have put together these same two pieces of the puzzle, but it’s courageously fortifying democracy by refusing to ask even the easiest of questions so as not to interfere with the corruption.)
The good news is that Eric Holder, Obama’s former AG, will be handling the vetting.
Former Attorney General Eric Holder and his law firm, Covington & Burling LLP, will conduct vetting of potential running mates for Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign for the U.S. presidency, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
So we’re all good and democratic here.
The donors pick a bunch of candidates for the future president and Obama’s people decide which ones make it under the wire.
Isn’t democracy wonderful?
Greenfield’s light sarcasm, so brilliant.
Paraphrasing Prof. Thomas Sowell: “Obama says wonderful things, his oratory is spectacular. But what is he talking about? He really says nothing” a little different than the elementary school marm talk of Cackling Kamalala that is complete ridiculous that is sheer weakness, displaying vulnerability and totally stupid. Not an intelligent being Kamalala is. We’re still enduring the affects of policies of the senile dementia demented treasonous crooked pedophile Joe Briben – they damn near took President Trump out – we have one chance, like Occam’s Razor, the choice cannot be simpler. We better not F’Up because this is our last chance to save the republic of USA and hence the free world! As USA goes so goes the world!
Who’s going to vet Holder?? What a disgusting sack of monkey mess!
Holder should have been vetted right into jail after the pardons he orchestrated at the end of the Clinton regime.
And he hasn’t gotten any less corrupt or less treasonous since then.
I don’t care how phony a politician is, you don’t hug another guy dick to dick as tight as Osama and Bidumb did In that photo. Reagan never grinded on Thatcher that way and at least Thatcher was a female.
Maybe I see it differently because I’m a woman. Genuine affection and platonic or familial love between two men isn’t so uncommon, nor is it something bad. On the contrary, it’s a beautiful sight to behold. Think of the loving embrace of a father and son. But, the key word is genuine, and there is NOTHING genuine about the two sleazebags in the photo above.
All the best 🙂
You’re right about everything.
I have a gay friend I love a lot and he likes to hug. I don’t mind doing it with him because I know he does it out of love.
I try not to bump dicks, though.
Saving Democracy….by destroying it in an attempt to retain power by un-democratic means. Yep-that’s the Dem way.
Eric Holder’s law firm, Coverup and Buryit…
