“I’m an ardent believer in the vision that was outlined in the Abraham Accords and believe that expanding the circle of peace with our Arab neighbors and pursuing regional cooperation is in the best interest of the State of Israel and the Middle East as a whole. To this end, I advocate for interfaith dialogue and intercultural understanding.”
This is what Yaron Lischinsky wrote on LinkedIn before he was murdered last night.
Yaron was a Christian, born in Germany, who immigrated to Israel at the age of 16 out of deep commitment to the Jewish people and the values he believed in.
He earned a Master’s degree in Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy from Reichman University, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
At the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC, he worked as a research assistant in the political department, where he focused on building Israel’s international relationships and advancing peace in the region.
Like his partner, Sarah Milgrim, also an embassy staff member, Yaron was a passionate peace activist.
Together, they worked to realize a shared vision of coexistence and dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
Yaron was planning to propose to Sarah in Jerusalem next week. He had already chosen the ring.
When Elias Rodriguez shot them, simply because they were Jewish and Israeli, he didn’t just take the lives of a young couple with their future ahead of them.
He murdered the kind of people the world most desperately needs: those working every day to build a more peaceful, just, and shared future for all.
May their memories be a blessing.
The only real peace will come when Islam is utterly destroyed. All the rest are fair tales that cost precious lives.
I agree. In civilised countries, islam would be banned outside the home, all mosques pulled down and muslims prevented from taking up public office.
But that’s never going to happen in the Western world, is it.
We’ve all seen Jews beaten and even killed in America – something I
thought could never happen in this country. The murder of this young
couple was particularly shocking and horrifying – they were beautiful,
good and well-meaning and about to start their lives together. And
attached to the Israeli embassy which one might think might make them
less vulnerable somehow. But now in America, it’s obvious no Jew is
safe – and that is a terrible and evil thing.
Yaron and Sarah + RIP Prayers for all their loved ones.
I’m hoping for a VERY quick trial, a quicker appeal, and a Firing Squad! It would be JUSTICE if he was forced to walk down a hallway with various open doors of DARK rooms and would not know which door held his executioner! Of course he should enjoy the same death that he inflicted upon the lovely Sarah – a couple of shots just to maim and then others as he crawled and begged for his life! BUT, we ARE a CIVILIZED Nation and cannot engage in “cruel and unusual” punishment! There should be EXCEPTIONS!!
I agree with you ! Death and dying for Allah is the highest goal of Hamas in life and it is guaranteed after killing a Jew, any Jew, anywhere and Hamas and its blood-thirsty supporters will worship them as Martyrs forever. Every “Martyr” creates a thousands more, generation after generation. Punishment must be swift and deadly. These murderers don’t care. They want to die for Allah and 72 Virgins. Give them their wish for God’s sake ! JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED. STOP sacrificing the lives of good people like Yahron and Sarah, by letting all who follow HAMAS to continue to live in this World . America has the Death Penalty for a reason. USE IT…
