Another fatal school shooting rocked the nation today, reportedly carried out by a teenage girl, reviving concerns about the mental instability of our nation’s youth and sparking the usual calls from the Left for stricter gun control.
This is an ongoing story and so information is still coming in and being confirmed, of course, but at the time of this writing, here is what we know: just before 11 a.m. local time, police were called to respond to a shooting at the library of the K-12 Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, which has about 200 students. At the scene, police discovered the bodies of a murdered teacher and a student. At least six others had been wounded, two with life-threatening injuries. Police also recovered a 9mm handgun and found that the shooter had already taken her own life.
Immediately in the wake of the shooting, misinformation and fake news abounded on the internet, of course, but eventually a reputable voice – bestselling citizen journalist Andy Ngo – posted that the deceased mass shooter was a 15-year-old girl (the AP incorrectly reported she was 17) named Natalie Lynn Rupnow. He noted that she did not identify as trans, which shut down a great deal of (reasonable) speculation on social media.
Rupnow apparently went by the name “Sam” or “Samantha,” Ngo reported. Disturbingly,
She had an extensive online obsession with school shooters and death, particularly the 1999 Columbine High School shooting. Rupnow was a big fan of the KMFDM rock band, which was also referenced by one of the Columbine shooters. (She often wore the shirt of the band.) Rupnow’s online friends identified the X account, which purported to belong to the shooter, soon after news broke of the shooting. The account’s last post is of an “okay” hand symbol in the school’s bathroom by the library minutes before the shooting.
Ngo added,
A purported “sneak peek” of her manifesto was posted on her Discord account, where she discussed a desire to kill all males in a rant inspired by fringe extremist online culture. A screenshot was posted on X by a person who was her Discord friend. The account also posted a mirror selfie photo of Rupnow. Rupnow has a long, disturbing online history of being obsessed with school shooters and death. She used the moniker “crossixir” online. Rupnow’s Cash App account is a picture of the Columbine shooters. She had an account on “Watch People Die” where she commented on the videos. Her Spotify playlists featured themes of s—icide and killings.
The illiterate statement that Ngo referred to as Rupnow’s “manifesto” reads, in part, that “women are the only hope for this wretched world” and that men “can’t be redeemed or reformed”:

Apparently there are pages more of this radical feminist screed, in which she stated that she felt unloved by her “scum” family and decided to kill herself a long time ago, but felt committing a shooting was “better for evolution rather than just one stupid boring suicide.”
There is no doubt much more to be unearthed, but if what we have learned is true, it tells a story of a deeply disturbed teen who was able to feed her dark obsession in the sickest corners of the internet. But guns and their availability are already being targeted as the problem, when in fact the solution lies in deep national self-reflection and conversation about the war being waged on our youth by a satanic agenda to topple the pillars that once sustained our civilization: love of God, love of family, and love of country.
The Democrat Party, which has spent the last week celebrating the ambush shooting murder of a healthcare CEO and lusting for more of the same, predictably renewed their calls for stricter gun control. The White House released a statement purportedly from President Joe Biden (remember him?) declaring, “From Newtown to Uvalde, Parkland to Madison, to so many other shootings that don’t receive attention – it is unacceptable that we are unable to protect our children from this scourge of gun violence. We cannot continue to accept it as normal. Every child deserves to feel safe in their [sic] classroom.”
But as conservative commentator Dana Loesch observed, “Guns are banned on school grounds and have been for 30 years. Juveniles are not allowed to legally buy or carry handguns. No law would have changed this.” The shooter Rupnow herself, in her “manifesto,” reportedly stated that she got access to her weapon(s) through “lies, manipulation, and my father’s stupidity.”
Democrat calls for gun control are not actually about addressing reality or protecting children anyway, but about dismantling the Second Amendment and disarming the populace. If Democrats truly cared about protecting children from gun crime, why do they never beat their breasts about the children shot to death every day in urban gang violence?
Democrats vent their faux outrage only after a mass shooting, especially at a school, because those are easier to exploit emotionally and for national attention. What about the 8-year-old Chicago girl killed (along with two other kids wounded) in a gang shooting last April? Not a peep from the Left about gun control after that or any other of innumerable examples. What about the aforementioned CEO, gunned down from behind by an assassin with a silenced pistol? Not only have there been no calls for gun control, but the murderer is being canonized as a heroic Leftist icon for taking out a hated capitalist.
Democrats have one solution for gun violence – the banning of guns, for one reason only: it furthers their power-hungry agenda. Meanwhile the real reasons children are shooting other children in this country will go unaddressed by the party that is largely responsible for the demonic culture that is breeding such horrors.

Tapson’s explanation fails to account for the well-known fact that only one country keeps having school shootings like it’s a national sport. “Demonic culture” does not explain this, the 2nd amendment and the abundance of firearms does.
We have always had the 2nd Amendment, and decades ago guns were far more accessible to youngsters than now and yet school shootings and mass shootings never happened. What changed was the degradation of our culture thanks to a half century of the progressive capture of all of our cultural institutions and the subsequent rot of society.

Of course, we also ran about outside unsupervised. We came in when “the street lights came on”. No ill resulted from that either.

We should ask what medications if any this shooter was on. She obviously had issues.

You’re absolutely right Mark. Everyone I know in the early 1970’s had easy access to their dad’s hunting firearms. Many of us would often go hunting after school in the fall. I grew up in the suburbs of a major city and not some remote rural community. It’s not access to firearms, it’s something else. In High School I was on a Junior NRA shooting team in Los Angeles. Coached by two neighborhood dads who were also police officers (LA County Sheriff and local Glendale). We brought our target rifles to school with us so we could go directly to the range we used for practice – we just dropped them off with the vice principal for safe keeping since they didn’t fit in our lockers.
Nobody called in an air strike or SWAT on us while we carried them through the neighborhoods in their cases. Not even when we we in Jr. Hi on the team and started with BB and pellet guns – practicing in our backyards. It was a whole ‘nother time, gang, and a far far better one.

I’ve seen it first hand with a sibling, a cousin and a former childhood friend. Invariably, trying to be your kids friend never works out well and often goes horribly sideways. Having no respect for you at all is the least that can and will happen. I’ve seen no respect turn into contempt and outright hatred. This land was awash with guns long before a “Second Ammendment” was thought up. READ of the daily life in the earliest times of Europeans living on this continent. Nearly everyone had and knew how to use guns. And there was not one school shoooting, ever.
My Dad talked about growing up in a rural area in the 1920’s and30’s. Only the poorest o the kids did OT have their own riles. They’d bring them to school with them on their horses. Brought them inside the schoolhouse and leaned them up against the back wall in the classroom. Recess and noon time they’d bring them out behind the schoolhouse, set up boards, tin cans, etc, and have competitions.,
Not many o the girls ever shot a school, but Dad’s little sister was a VERY good markman. So god the boys did not like her because she would oushoot them all. A seven years old she’d whump the 12 and 14 year olds.
And NO ONE o those kids ever shot anybody except those they did shoot in places like Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Normandy….nearly all of them went into the military and their self-taught marksmanship skills put many an enemy combatant under the turf and not one of them was ever hit by enemy fire.
Today’s shootings are NOT caused by “easy availability” of firearms. Nor will they be “cured” by removing guns from society.

Sandy Hook: kid shoots up entry door, walks on inside, unopposed… then begins shooting people.
Virginia Tech kid starts shooting, running ater people as they atempt escape.
Columbine kids sart shooing, nothing can stop them.
Uvalde school shooting… kid walks across schoolyard carrying rile, no one pays him any mind. Calmly opens side door, goes inside, walks into classroom and starts shooting.
Parkland florida kid carrries rifle in from parking lo, walks into school, starts shooting.
Tennessee christian school kid walks up to rint door, shoots glass out to gain entry, custodian tries to resist, gts killed. then the real killing starts.
Now mlet’s go over the list again.. WHA I in every case there was an armed and skilled and trained adult who witnesses the set-up and/or beginning o a schoolshooting and.. very simply shoots first.
Sandy Hook, before kid can shoot out the doorglass, school custodian draws down and ires. End or “incident” One dead, and he went looking for it.
Virgina Tech, ater irst round or two school teacher, near the sound of shots fired, draws his handgun rom his holser and ires one round, neutrlaisong the threat. NO dead students.

Had this sort of response been available and applied starting way back before Columbine there may have been one or two subsequent failures on the part o he shooters, but never a victim of their actions would have fallen.
It’s amazing we are presented with all these quotes and writings by the shooter “Sam” and yet absolutely no one, including her parents, that read or heard her rantings took any action…they just turned the page and went on. This girl was very troubled, and should have been under mental care. Now, we have a tragedy where innocent people were killed and wounded.

Yes, firearms have been prohibited on public school campuses for over 30 years now, and here is another case where a troubled lunatic is able to casually walk onto a school campus and into a school building and start shooting innocent people. How does this happen? Where were the school security officers? Where were the metal detectors? Yet, there is not one article about this shooting that brings this point up. No wonder the news media no longer has any credibility, and public schools are thought to be a national embarrassment.
