It was bad enough that professional woke author Ta-Nehisi Coates chose to go all in on antisemitism and Islamic terrorism with his new book of essays ‘The Message’ (which I reviewed today), but Random House, an ex-Nazi corporation that publishes all of his screeds, chose to release it in time for the Oct 7 anniversary of the Hamas attacks.
Coates had signed a letter after Oct 7 which claimed that, “after sixteen years of siege, Hamas militants broke out of Gaza.”
CBS News then decided to schedule a featured morning interview with Coates to promote his hateful book which makes no mention of Hamas, but does repeatedly attack Israel and Jews, before Oct 7.
Coates denounces Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust museum, as “a grand narrative of conquered ancestors built by their conquering progeny”.
“This putative ‘Jewish democracy’ is, like its American patron, an expansionist power,” Coates sneers, “and every expansionist power needs a good story to justify its plunder.”
The Jews are guilty of “an enormous con”, he storms, their history is “a poorly wrought fairy tale” and a compensation of “violent impotence” for the Holocaust.
Tracked for a release on the anniversary of the Oct 7 genocide, The Message deliberately makes no mention of Hamas, and Ta-Nehisi Coates makes a point of visiting the site of a ‘Rabbi Meir Kahane Park’, but not the sites of any of the Hamas atrocities which he calculatedly looks away from even as he exploits the attention brought by them.
CBS News featuring Coates before Oct 7 is the equivalent of bringing on a Holocaust denier ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day.
It was obscene.
But then one of the hosts, Tony Dokoupil, asked Coates some basic questions that were slightly challenging. And the woke staff and leadership at CBS News demanded Dokoupil’s head. A DEI expert was brought in and a struggle session was led at which Doukopil was forced to apologize for doing his job and not letting Gayle King ask sweetheart questions which she had provided Coates with beforehand.
And CBS News brass were accusing Dokoupil, not King, of violating “journalism standards.”
The whole scandal is now playing out in the media and it’s telling that asking a racist bigot basic questions instead of pandering to him is a ‘scandal’ rather than what one might have called ‘journalism’.
But the real scandal still is that CBS News brought on a terror apologist and then announced a review of a journalist condemned for asking him questions in time for Oct 7.
That reminded me. I once decided to make a project out of studying Jewish history. So on my walk home from campus I stopped by the Pegasus book store on Solano to look at the Jewish history section. There was so much literature it boggled my mind so I decided to abandon the project, as I could never get through it all 🙂
See B.S. News has always been mostly Fake News(60 Minutes, Sunday Morning)as well as the regular Morning and Evening News just Leftists Propaganda like NBC. ABC and especially CNN just Leftists Propaganda not news
I have to wonder if anyone is really in charge in our media/government system. These types of events, including the FEMA incompetence/planned reactions in NC are amazing. Some of this has to be counterproductive. Why would you do this? Biden is talking nicely about DeSantis. It appears to be a real mess for Harris. The frightening part is that it could continue to be our government for the foreseeable future.
racist antisemite is no friend of Yeshua Messiah and will be judged accordingly — his karma isn’t too good and when bad things keep happening to him – he will blame the Hebrew peoples or whitey or whatever but never look at his own law of attraction – these fools self destruct eventually
It sounds like one of those lines where the guy says something to agree with the killer right behind him nonchalantly. It’s a little too on-the-nose to do it on the eve of you-know-what.
