In a harrowing documentary posted on YouTube a few weeks ago, America’s most famous online prostitute Lily Philips documented one of her highest goals in life: to sleep with 100 men in twenty-four hours. The final tally was 101 men in just over 14 hours. The entire venture was broadcast to her millions of OnlyFans subscribers.
At the end of the film, after having sex with 101 men, Lily is seen bursting into tears. It was intense, she said, not for the faint-hearted. She would not recommend that most women engage in such an epic feat; however, doing it was something she had always wanted to do since, in her words, she was a slut in college and had probably slept with more than 1,000 men over a period of time.
Lily hails from an upper-middle-class English family. She has said money was not the motive; instead, having sex with lots of men made her feel empowered and incredibly happy. Her parents have given her their moral support. She speaks with her mother every day.
And yet after what was clearly an ordeal for her, Lily wept bitterly on camera. Perhaps it was the fact that being penetrated by 101 men in 14 hours was emotionally exhausting. Perhaps it was retrospective embarrassment. It may even have been the pestilential odor — described in the documentary — that hovered in the sex room like stale smoke after the encounters that overwhelmed her. Many of the men had failed to take an STD test. Lily, who did not use any condoms during oral sex — which she performed on the men to arouse them — was totally oblivious to how HIV is contracted.
Some of the men had ejaculated in her face and her eyes, and she complained that that had caused her eyes to sting. A more likely explanation for her tears is that this broken and damaged woman understood that, after sex with 101 total strangers, she had defiled herself beyond redemption. The validation she had been seeking from the encounters was not forthcoming.
But this is all history. Now Lily has declared that in January, 2025, she intends to have sex with1,000 men in a single day for the viewing pleasure of her voyeuristic OnlyFans subscribers. To apply you must send in a headshot and hold your photo ID close to your face. She allegedly intends to practice for the marathon by sleeping with around 300 men sometime between now and the monumental event.
The internet abounds with a new cabal of such women who are taking on sex with scores of men at one time. Recently Aella, another OnlyFans self-sex trafficker and prostitute, posted her experience of being gang-banged by 42 men for her birthday party — 17 of whom had the distinct privilege of “finishing inside Aella.” Aella had narrowed her 1,600 applicants down to the 42 men selected to attend her birthday bash.
My goal in this article is not to attempt to give some psychological analysis of why such women engage in self-harming and degrading behaviors. My aim is more modest. I submit that Lily Philips should be legally prevented from sleeping with 1,000 men in her planned January/February event.
I offer four logical reasons why intrusion by the state into the private affairs of this woman’s lurid planned endeavor is not only right — it is morally obligatory:
First, I submit that Lily Phillips is mentally ill and is not of sound mind. She should, therefore, be treated in the same way as an irresponsible minor.
One cannot say that she has some macabre death wish, or that she is simply acting out a dark fantasy. She is suicidal. She essentially wants to be harpooned to death by 1,000 men. Since we do have interventionist policies to protect those who engage in self-harming behaviors which include suicide, it is incumbent upon the state to prevent her from very likely killing herself via homicidal sexual intercourse.
Second, Lily is engaged in sex trafficking — which is illegal. She is sex trafficking herself and this should make no difference as to the prohibition of the act itself. As the 19th century English Philosopher John Stuart Mill noted, we do not permit consensual murder in any civilized society. Why? Because if each person were granted the right to have him or herself murdered, the logical terminus of such behavior would lead to the dissolution of civilized society. The prohibition against consensual murder supersedes any claim to individual rights, bodily autonomy, and personal sovereignty over one’s life.
Some social values supersede the tawdry rights of obscene individuals. Lily Phillips is engaging in consensual murder by contracting 1,000 men as her executioners. In effect, her self-sex trafficking is a good case in point for the abolition of all forms of self-sex trafficking — whether it be prostitution, pornography, sex with strangers broadcast on OnlyFans websites, or sex clubs that squat in and proliferate our cities.
I make a hard case here that the phenomenal and massive evisceration of one’s dignity in such cases is either evidence of the absence of agency, or the obliteration of agency via protracted self-evisceration. If one lacks agency in endeavors that are especially self-harming, the state must assume the default duty of protecting oneself from oneself. It’s a paternalistic argument; but then again, not all forms of paternalism are a priori or prima facie impermissible. There are higher social goods than autonomy and sovereignty — which are constrained by principles of justice — especially when they are used recklessly and in the service of destroying one’s life.
Third, I submit that the degradation of moral norms in a society, that may not directly violate another’s individual’s rights, still creates a putrid and depraved culture, one in which concupiscence and lasciviousness are so rampant that the moral socialization of children and their induction into the domain of the ethical become deeply compromised — if not impossible. Young girls see Lily Philips and Aella and their so-called career choices as candidates on which to pin their aspirational identities. This is made more permissible in a culture in which thousands of people have celebrated Lily as a moral heroine, as a symbol of feminine freedom and liberation from alleged patriarchal norms that would subordinate women to the moral edicts of men. I should go a step further and suggest that if we have sunk that low in our civilizational mores, norms, and general moral atmosphere, then more ethical patriarchy is indeed vitally needed. (I have already made that argument here.)
I offer a fourth and final argument for a legal injunction against the horrendous and ill-conceived engagement of sex with a 1,000 men in a single day by a mentally ill young person. It would be one small step towards resetting the moral compass of a culture that has either veered in the direction of moral agnosticism or, as is more likely, pivoted towards a nihilistic form of subjectivism that will brook no standards, principles, and values outside the myopic viewpoints and salacious desires of individuals when it comes to finding meaning in actions that — as in the case of Lily Phillips — are inherently meaningless.
I’m much more concerned about the noble and courageous young men and women joining today’s corrupt American military and putting their life and limb in danger for senseless and useless military escapades like the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would tell them not to join and risk their lives while America’s military is under such evil and corrupt leadership.

Dr. Hill’s article is about the limits of free agency, especially when our free choices lead to self-murder by consent. He argues for an “ethical patriarchy” to limit free choice against the desires of the individual in those circumstances.
This article provides a great opportunity to apply objectivism to real life. How does the “moral code of reason” apply to this situation when Lily feels “empowered and incredibly happy” after sex with untold multiples of men? Should she submit to any authoritarian control (“ethical patriarchy”)? Who are we to gainsay her desire to engage in sex in this manner?
Your point about the military is not without merit, but why do you call these men and women “courageous” when they put life and limb in danger and very few of them feel “empowered and incredibly happy” like Lily? They, like Lily, know the risks but, unlike Lily, they receive great benefits and privileges during and after their service.
I do not see that objectivism has an answer.. Reason alone is not a sufficient guide mankind to what is good, true and beautiful. It is only a tool in service to the men and morals that guide it.

In effect, what you’re saying is: “If our military is not “perfect”, we should do away with it entirely”. Absurd! Yes, our military, like every other institution, is partially corrupt; and, it has been mismanaged in many respects resulting in the loss of life and limb. But, like our police forces, which are not always “ideal” in their actions, we need them to maintain a civilized community. Until there is respect for the rights of others in the world, which may never happen,, we need a strong and effective military. Perhaps you’d prefer to live in Mogadishu?

Wonder if there are libertarians out there who will advance the usual argument that, if everything is consensual, it’s all OK. Dropped my subscriptions to Reason magazine years ago, and would not have been surprised to see a cover article advocating acceptance, if not endorsement of, bestiality (was the horse willing?).
Just because something is consensual does not make it rational and healthy but an irrational , unhealthy, or immoral lifestyle is not necessarily the province and jurisdiction of the government.
For example, banning unhealthy foods or unhealthy cooking oils or large bottles of soda like they now do in major cities is a violation of individual rights and a proper and legitimate government has no business legislating such prohibitions. In a free and rational society private citizens and organizations such as churches, Alcoholics Anonymous, Guardian Angels, and other private societies and charities are the ones that naturally arise and spread the healthy lifestyles and healthy habits through educating the public or even using ostracism and boycott.
This poor woman should be helped by private citizens and organizations not put into a mental institution by the government.

Drug legalization has, if I remember correctly, long been a standard Libertarian belief. And the inevitable question arises, how far do you go with this policy? A bit like abortion. I once got into an ultimately futile back and forth with a woman in Seattle when I asked her, as an apparent abortion advocate, if there was a limit beyond which she would not go–would she be OK with vacuuming out the kid’s brains as it was crowning, for example? I am actually not against abortion, and these are not easy questions. But not only did she not provide an answer, she was furious with me for even daring to ask the question.
The problem is that these pseudo-libertarians insist that because it is consensual it is *good* and we should embrace and celebrate it. Properly understood, libertarianism/ classical liberalism is about individual liberty and keeping government from running everyone’s lives. It is understood that recognizing and protecting each person’s moral agency also makes them responsible for consequences. Self-responsibility is what real liberty is about. Reason and similar poseurs ignore that part and celebrate licentiousness as a positive good…they are depraved themselves.
For decades I’ve been bothered by libertarians who go beyond self-sovereignty to a complete embrace of subjectivism. Individual self-sovereignty allows but does not guarantee virtue & flourishing. It also allows sloth & floundering. The latter is not to be celebrated.
Those who embrace subjectivism ultimately undermine liberty.

That her parents are supportive of her actions suggests that her childhood was almost undoubtedly nightmarish. I do not have children but it seems to me that a crucial aspect of raising a child is giving the child a sense of individual self worth. Any woman who behaves as she did clearly is missing that entirely and while individuals have free will, one can imagine that the parents are at least partly to blame.
She won’t last that long, fortunately. Probably already has lots of diseases and damage. It will be good for the gene pool for her to remover herself.
There is a great deal of self-hatred in someone who does the things this woman is doing to herself. Self-hatred is not to be celebrated.
All compassion aside, I think our time, efforts and resources would be better served in some other area of need. It’s simple logic, impassionate as it might seem. Take it from one of America’s great logicians, Mr. Spock:

I take a libertarian approach. It should not be up to the state to decide who is “mentally ill” and who is not.
Nor should it be up to the state to forcibly take people who would like to commit suicide into custody under the purported theory that they are “mentally ill.” It should be legal, or at the very least, the government should mind its own business– unless the person has indicated that if they are ever suicidal, they want to be stopped. And the state should definitely not intervene if a person has asserted that if they are ever suicidal, they don’t want to be stopped or in any way interfered with. No one, but the person, knows how much emotional or physical pain they have been through in life, and how much they can continue to bear.
Keep BIG GOVERNMENT out of our lives, even this extreme internet slut. She has made her choices, and will live (or suffer) with the consequences.

Lily and her parents live under a non-Christian cultural and political paradigm – as all western nations now do. How else could her parents give her moral support? Does that not pinpoint the core of the problem? Can the nation whose families encourage the destruction of their children achieve anything that is good and right, much less great?

As one who survived years of sexual abuse and violence resulting in a shattered self that necessitated intense psychotherapy by an extraordinary clinical psychologist trained in addressing childhood trauma and abuse, I read this article and felt emotionally numb before becoming distressed and enraged. This wanton, self-inflicted defilement bespeaks a deeply wounded soul and she needs significant treatment. Her reckless desire for attention, regardless of the cost, is not just an all-out assault upon herself but also a glaring reflection of her self loathing and feelings of worthlessness. Like an addict, her destroyed self-esteem lies crumpled on the floor among the bodily fluids that briefly provide a welcomed escape from an internal reality she detests. As she goes from one man to the next, she nakedly parades herself in a self-delusional ruse of sexual desirability while her encounter with the next man furthers her descent into a reality so loathsome she awaits the encompassing numbness from her shattered self like a junkie shooting up heroin.
That the repeated self-flagellation by this young woman is viewed and paid for is an eye-opening condemnation of the abject perversion of human sexuality and genuine intimacy between a man and a woman.
It is also an evident and complete excoriation of the women’s movement that has glorified sex for money as an arbiter of “freedom” rather than the harbinger of young women self destructing upon the altar of lies and deception often destroying their lives and futures.
Parents, partners and those men soliciting such perversions for their prurient gratifications are themselves nothing more than illicit dealers in the monetized obliteration of genuine femininity and wholesome sexual intimacy.
This young woman and many others like her are trading that which is most precious for a temporary notoriety that leads to destruction, loneliness and likely suicide.

This young woman’s distorted craving for attention is yet another example of how our culture has become obsessed with the Self, as well as devolving to the mind set that “Sex” is the “Golden Calf” , and the real focus for a happy life.
Our society has embraced this prurient interest and accelerated this lascivious behavior since the “free love” movement of the 1960’s, to the point where swingers clubs are common, as are treesomes and other attempts to expand erotic satisfaction. With religious restraints all but eliminated, “government” needs to step in to save us from ourselves.
My suspicion is that she seduced her father at an early age for lack of attention, and her guilt has driven her to atone by means of this self degradation.
A child is not a seducer of a grown man. A grown man would never allow himself to engage in such behavior regardless of a daughter!s desire for attention. Lily probably wanted to be loved, and sex feels a lot like love. Her choices make sense if she has given up hope of being loved and therefore sublimates her desire for love with sex.
A woman’s virtue is inextricably tied to her sexual purity. Although this is ancient Christian morality, it is nonetheless true. But Lily is NOT defiled “beyond redemption” (paragraph 5), and therefore there is hope for both redemption and love. Lily’s shocking sexual sin can be forgiven and Lily can receive both redemption, love and newness of life in Christ. Jesus loved and redeemed murderers and prostitutes. He still does. May Lily find this love and redemption.
Un John’s Letters to he Seven Churches in Asia (part of his Revelation, and dicated to him by the Lord) there is mention in some of them involving the rampant temple prostitution in some of those cites, and a stern warning to the Believers in those particular cities to be aware of what this involves, and to NOT participate in it. This led to some study on my part of those temple norms, and this woman Lilly made me remember these warnings. Perhaps the “god” she is worshipping is herself, some attempt to justify herself or gain some sort of acceptance by her monumental “performance”.
