Who will possibly castrate people in India (and around the world) without USAID funds?
That’s the question that many of our best and brightest are asking after India’s first transgender clinics closed. (Unlike the vast majority of Americans, they also think this is a bad thing.)
India’s first three clinics for the transgender community closed last month following a stop-work order from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) that funded them, disrupting services for nearly 5,000 people, two sources said on Friday.
So 5,000 people in India won’t have life-altering surgery performed on them or debilitating medications dispensed to them that will prevent them from marrying, having children and will make them more likely to die.
There should be a Nobel Peace Prize in that alone.
If people in India really want to castrate themselves, they can pay for it themselves or go back to using sharp stones.
Or maybe they can change their minds and live healthy normal lives instead.

That’s for sure. We can start with the Peace prizes for Useless Arafat and Bareback Hasbeen Osama and go from there.
USAID lost out on the prize in physiology and medicine for the most nuts cut off in 2024. President Trump and Elon Musk shut down that particular castration factory so USAID is out of the running for 2025. Maybe the State Department can try to pick up the sack.
1981, Dateline India. I had a dream while staying in someone’s apartment of then Bombay, now Mumbi. The dream was about hermaphrodites. (I’m saving the details because I don’t have a lot of time this morning.) The next day I was at a train depot with someone who’s apartment I stayed in, who was going to take me on a tour of the jungles outside of Bombay way high in some mountain range.
While waiting for a train I saw women sitting in a group away from everyone wearing like house saris
One gets up and walks to where I was – as she got closer I could see she had the face of like a 19 year old male with slight whiskers on the upper lip. Exactly as I saw in the dream.
The dude I was with said: “That’s a hermaphrodite, you know, he-she”.
I said I know what a hermaphrodite is.
I wondered why I had that dream that came to pass for years.
All the woke lgbt+ alphabet soup of the last several years brought it to my mind decades later.
There are 2 sexes or genders and hermaphroditism is a birth defect that is rare but real.
The things you learn when stupid USG programs get defunded! I have several friends who have posted their great sadness over having life-saving programs terminated. I haven’t seen anyone in the USAID community own up to having their former employer in fringe programs. Offering trans surgery to men in India certainly qualifies as a fringe program.

I’m not a poof but I invited a chick who had her name legally changed to a man’s name to my apartment a couple times and went to hers once. She told me she has a girlfriend. She’s obviously confused but not too confused. 😛
If an adult wants to cut themselves, have at it, but leave the kids alone.
And don’t use US money for any of it!
