While Americans can’t afford gas or to heat their homes, Biden is bragging of a deal to subsidize solar panels in Indonesia.
Americans have too much money. And too much everything. Let’s give it all away.
The United States, Indonesia and other allies signed a $20 billion deal on Tuesday at the Group of 20 (G-20) summit that will help Indonesia reduce its reliance on coal.
The goal of the agreement, called the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), is to help Indonesia reduce emissions and transition away from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
This isn’t a deal.
This is welfare and a bribe to convince a Muslim regime that has massacred Christians and continues to oppress them to switch its energy from reliable coal to worthless wind and solar.
And they’re taking us for every billion they can get.
The G7 and its partners have made multi-billion dollar offers to wean Vietnam, Indonesia and India off coal — but it has yet to convince emerging economies to drop the dirtiest fossil fuel.
The three deals have been under negotiation through much of 2022 and are being modeled on an earlier, $8.5 billion deal to shut down South Africa’s coal industry, dubbed a Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).
It’s hoped that at least two new partnerships might be unveiled during the COP27 U.N. climate talks, which start on November 6 in Egypt. Discussions with Vietnam and Indonesia have advanced to the point where initial cash offers of around $5 billion and $10 billion, respectively…
If you think that’s bad, the Green New Dealers want to get India and eventually China on board. And at that point we’re talking completely nightmarish numbers that would bankrupt everyone.
U.S. President Biden emphasized the importance of this partnership, saying, “Indonesia has shown tremendous leadership and ambition throughout the development of this partnership. The resulting new and accelerated targets demonstrate how countries can dramatically cut emissions and increase renewable energy while advancing a commitment to creating quality jobs and protecting livelihoods and communities.”
While destroying American jobs, livelihoods and communities.
This plundering and redistribution of our wealth appears unstoppable. Look after your family, your property and your finances the best you can.
Without looking it up, just based on distant memories of living near refineries and such, there are technological ways of reducing pollution from coal and such, such as better smokestack scrubbers. Experts may correct me of course. The main obstacle was a small monetary cost, not so large, but enough to give companies that didn’t implement them a small competitive price advantage, which was the main reason they weren’t adopted.
You’re right; coal can be burned with minimal “dirty” emissions if smokestack scrubbers (great, big, honkin’ electrostatic dust precipitators, if you prefer, plus other stuff to take out non-particulate pollutants) are used. They were used quite successfully in much of the U.S. until fracking reduced the price of natural gas and made it competitive with coal. Of course now we have neither, because after all, don’t we want a “greener” world for our grandchildren to enjoy, right before they expire from cold or hunger?
None of my tax money must ever be allowed to fund the Islamofascist Empire
How can you stop it? It’s already going there, and to many other unsavory places (including the country owned by the CCP) and we can’t seem to stop our wonderful “elected representatives” from sending it to them.
I just don’t understand it. I get that you don’t like Muslims, Mexicans, women, gays, trans people, and so on. I despise your views, but I get where you’re coming from. I get that you think abortion is murder and that white Christian civilization is under threat from the evil forces of atheist socialist wokeism. I get it.
But I don’t get how you look at the evidence on climate change and you are AGAINST a plan to wean Southeast Asia off coal? Why in the world would you do that? You are harming yourself, your family, your community. You are using lies – how is changing the world’s energy infrastructure going to bankrupt everyone???? – it’s only going to create jobs! – to convince people to oppose steps to prevent climate catastrophe.
You’re not stupid, Daniel. A lot of your colleagues here at FPM are. Certainly a lot of your readers. But you are clearly not stupid. What do you get out of supporting oil and coal interests? What’s your stake? And even if you have a stake, don’t you see what is going on around the world?
It’s incomprehensible.
What is the evidence for the crisis formerly know as “global cooling,” and formerly known as “global warming,” and now known as “climate change” – that the climate is changing? Do you think the climate has never changed before? Do you still think the COVID-19 “vaccines” are “safe and effective?” Do you just believe what the government and the controlled media tell you?
You ask “how is changing the world’s energy infrastructure going to bankrupt everyone????” The simple answer is that intermittent, unreliable, interruptible “green” energy cannot even come close to replacing the existing energy infrastructure. Energy will be exponentially more expensive and scarce, which will lead to the destruction of the middle class. The 1% will be fine, but the average citizen will be devastated.
What do you get out of supporting the 1%? What’s your stake?
^^^^ the is what it looks like to go full retard! ^^^^
What evidence are you talking about? Your ‘climate warming’ religion is as fanatical and illogical as Islam, but please accept, it’s religion, not science.
I get that the only way you understand how to communicate with conservatives is through uncomprehending condescension.
There is no evidence that human industry is changing the climate. There’s even less evidence that trading in coal for unreliable energy sources dependent on Chinese strip mining, like solar panels and wind turbines, which actually have higher carbon footprints when you dump the funny math used to justify them, is the solution to anything.
Now if you guys were willing to embrace cheap, clean nuclear power, we’d have something to talk about.
Either you are a troll or so supremely stupid you are beyond understanding the situation at all.
Giving money to ANY COUNTRY at this point is beyond crazy, but to give it to a completely corrupt one like Indonesia because Con Joe’s and Kerry’s friends will make billions selling them all kinds of green energy products and machines is so blatant and so outrageous I cannot even comprehend how they think they will get away with this
Outside of Open Warfare situations,Joe”Bite Me”is the Most Successful ENEMY we have Ever had!!!!!!!!!!!
Kerry and Biden both dumber then a sack full of rocks with the attention span of a Amoeba
